The Best Part of Your Experience

Luke’s passion pretty much began as soon as he was able to able to shoulder a .410 and comprehend why a bird locks its wings. Growing up he did most of his hunting from the flooded fields of Eagle Lake, TX to the Navasota River Bottoms. His favorite waterfowl memories will always be from his Grandpa’s flooded timber in the Kisatche National Forest in Natchitoches, LA. After completing High School in Richmond, TX he moved to Lafayette, LA where shooting out to Kaplan in the mornings before class was as fulfilling as a Billy’s Boudin Ball.
Then it happened. The move from the saturated swamps to the bone-dry Texas Hill Country was an avid waterfowler’s nightmare, right? Once he found out that 99% of people couldn’t care less about a duck, goose or a crane in these regions, the goldmine window of opportunity was wide open. After a few phone calls to some local dove outfitters in the first year he was able to get his hands on a couple spots to pay for he and his wife to go kill a few ducks. These dove outfitters literally had hundreds of connections, and Luke was beyond envious of that and said if they can do it, he could do it. Ten years later, Luke now has wonderful relationships with landowners stretching across a 500 mile triangle and has access to an unbelievable amount of acres of deer ranch and farm land filled with honey holes of waterfowl in the South Texas Brush Country where Speck Ops was born. Luke is beyond blessed to be married to his gorgeous God fearing wife Jillian (Spine of Speck Ops) with 3 girls, Karsen, Beckham & Quinn and the latest edition, a little boy named Burkes. All Glory to God!

Drew is an experienced hunting guide renowned for his deep expertise in waterfowl hunting. Born on August 3, 2000 in Wharton,Texas, Drew developed a passion for the outdoors from a young age, presenting his skills through years of dedicated practice. Growing up hunting the public coastal lands of Texas, he learned how to scout hard and be exactly where he needed to be at the right time. Drew started his guiding career his senior year of high school and would frequently miss his first period to go and take people out. With the hunting ranch being 5 miles from his school, he figured the consequence overthrew the benefits of being able to do what he loves. This is when he knew what career path was to follow. He loves shooting birds but where his real passion lies, is seeing the excitement and reactions of clients who turn into some of the greatest friends. Drew has been working for speck ops for 5 years and fell in love and mastered the style and techniques of this unique region of Texas. Drew not only uses his knowledge and skills but hunts and guides with his best friend Finn.

Guide – Riviera Camp
Capt. Christian Schneider fell in love with the Texas coast when he was just a child growing up fishing the famous Baffin Bay. Being able to come down almost every weekend when he was a kid, Christian knew that when he grew up one day he wanted to be able to take other people and have them have that same feeling he did enjoying the great outdoors. In 2018 Christian started his sophomore year of college at Texas A&M Kingsville University, he Graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Range/Wildlife management two years later. The following year Christian got his Captains license and started working full time on Baffin Bay chartering.
Since graduating, Christian has been apart of the Speck Ops family since 2021 and has loved every second of it. Christian currently resides down on the Texas coast where him and Chris Muñoz run the “Riviera Camp” down here the options are endless to chasing redheads out on Baffin Bay to decoying sandhill cranes out in the grain fields. Who knows y’all might even go chase some trophy speckled trout on the bay one morning. Since Christian was a kid his love for the outdoors has inspired him to be able to share that with others as much as he can. So for Christian being a guide for Speck Ops is somewhat of a dream one could say.
Guide – Multicamp
Born in Helotes, TX, Zach spent the early part of his childhood deer hunting, but all that changed when he was introduced to waterfowl. Around the age of 9, he went on his first duck hunt on some public land and was instantly hooked. For the rest of grade school, he could be found chasing ducks across south Texas, anywhere between the hill country rivers, all the way to the Texas coast. Something about interacting with birds and getting them to finish over your decoys was an addiction that couldn’t be shaken. In roughly 2014, he met Luke Bledsoe via Instagram where the 2 bonded over their passion for waterfowl. In what could be a story of its own, he was able to witness over a decade, what Speck Ops LLC has grown into today. He elected to go to college in his hometown at the University of Texas at San Antonio, so he can be close by a lot of places he hunted growing up. With the close access, he was able to take advantage of the late class times, and extended winter breaks to chase birds like it was a full-time job. After graduating from UTSA, he moved out to Boerne, TX where he now works as a GIS Analyst. But thanks to Luke, he gets to live out his childhood dream of guiding hunts part-time and is going on his 6th year with the company.
